Features
- ✓Ducted air distribution for multi-room and zoned layouts
Overview
A concealed ducted unit is a ducted indoor chassis hidden above a ceiling, in a bulkhead or in a closet, with only supply and return grilles visible in the finished space. The family is published with R-32. It gives the distribution pattern of a ducted system without a visible indoor head and without a full air handling unit.
It is included among the units paired with the side-discharge outdoor units, so it belongs to the same split platform as the rest of the indoor range. Selection is dominated by duct design rather than the cabinet: static pressure, duct size and route, filter and service access, and condensate removal. Airflow, static pressure and control interface are confirmed per model.
Where it is used
- Multi-room and zoned layouts where only the grilles should be visible
- Hotel and multi-unit residential projects with a ceiling void
- Offices and light-commercial fit-outs wanting ducted distribution
- Retrofits that reuse an existing ceiling void but not the equipment
Selection & installation notes
- 01
Get the fan data before the duct is designed: duct sizing depends on the external static pressure available for the model, which is not published at family level.
- 02
Plan service and filter access at design stage — a concealed chassis needs a removable panel or an accessible return, agreed with the ceiling contractor.
- 03
Confirm the condensate arrangement, including drain fall and whether the model includes lift.
- 04
Insulate ductwork in unconditioned voids and confirm duct connection sizes against the model drawing.
- 05
The family publishes R-32; confirm the outdoor unit match and order the pair for the same refrigerant.
Common questions
Can one ducted unit serve several rooms?
Ducted distribution for multi-room and zoned layouts is the purpose of this family, and each zone needs its own airflow design. Whether one chassis covers the layout depends on its capacity and static pressure, confirmed per model.
What is visible in the finished room?
Only the supply and return grilles and the access panel needed for service and filters. The chassis and ductwork sit above the ceiling or inside a bulkhead or closet.
Does it provide fresh air?
Fresh-air capability is not part of the published data for this family. Describe the ventilation requirement and we will confirm what can be supported.
Which outdoor unit does it pair with?
It is included among the units paired with our side-discharge outdoor units. Confirm the match, refrigerant and control interface for the capacity you are quoting.
