Overview
A floor-ceiling unit is a low-profile indoor cabinet that can be mounted at floor level against a wall or horizontally at ceiling level. It is published with 24V control and R-32. The cabinet is exposed rather than concealed, so it needs no ceiling void and no duct run — only a wall or ceiling surface, a line set, a drain and a supply.
That makes it the practical indoor unit where a cassette or ducted unit will not fit: a conversion with no void above, a ceiling that is structural or already occupied, or a retrofit where cutting a ceiling is not acceptable. It is included among the units paired with the side-discharge outdoor units, and capacities, airflow and dimensions are confirmed per model.

Decide floor or ceiling mounting before ordering: the orientations use different brackets and change the throw pattern and drain route, so confirm which are supported for the model.

Keep the air path clear: a floor cabinet must not be blocked by furniture, and a ceiling unit must not discharge into a beam or light fitting.

Settle condensate removal early; floor-level mounting limits the fall available, so confirm whether the model includes lift and what the drain connection is.

Can the same unit be mounted on the floor and on the ceiling?

Does it need a ceiling void or ductwork?
No. The cabinet is exposed and discharges directly into the room, so neither a ceiling void nor a duct run is needed. Service and filter access is from the front.
