Overview

This is the higher-rated of our two North American inverter mini split lines, published up to SEER2 23. As with any mini split it is a two-piece ductless system: a room-mounted indoor fan coil, an outdoor unit, and a refrigerant line set between them, with no ductwork and no central air handler.

It is quoted as a separate family from the SEER2 18 line, so a rating published for one does not carry over to the other and the two are not interchangeable in a specification. Capacity range, electrical data, line-set limits, control interface and refrigerant are confirmed per model, since we do not publish them at family level yet.

Common questions

What is the difference between the SEER2 18 and SEER2 23 families?

They are separate mini split families with different published rating ceilings. Model data, capacity coverage, refrigerant and electrical requirements are confirmed per family and per model; the two lines are not interchangeable.

Where does the SEER2 rating come from?

SEER2 is a seasonal efficiency rating determined per model under specified test conditions. Request the per-model rating and those conditions, and apply it only to the model it was issued for.

Is the unit available with a specific refrigerant?

Family-level data lists no refrigerant for this line. Tell us the market and application and we will confirm the refrigerant and charge for each model.

Does the outdoor unit need a bracket or a pad?

Both are used in practice, but the approved mounting method depends on the model and the site. Confirm it, the clearances and any supplied bracket on the submittal sheet.
